Blue Marble Communications radiation-hardened SEP2 is our second-generation edge computing product featuring latest AMD Ryzen CPU/GPU/NPU and Xilinx Versal AI Edge Gen-2 processor technologies.

The 4nm/6nm computing platforms provide for industry-leading radiation performance and compute power efficiency, with 2.5x CPU and GPU performance uplift vs our industry-first Gen-1 product. In addition, SEP2 adds embedded AI/ML accelerators with 200 TOPS (INT8) performance and upgraded high-speed networking and data interfaces.

SDX-2Ka

Software-Defined Modem/Transceiver


Blue Marble Communications radiation-hardened SDX is our second-generation, dual-channel Ka-band, software-defined radio for spaceborne communication systems. The RF channels are also available with integrated X-band, Ku-band, and/or custom frequency converters.

Modulation and coding are software-definable and currently available in industry-standard DVB-S2, DVB-S2X, and 5G NR NTN; alternate or custom waveforms are available upon request. The multi-processor architecture provides for ultra-high bandwidth/throughput regenerative waveform processing. SDX-2Ka has successfully completed Ka Compatibility Testing (KCT) for multiple SDA PWSA programs.

Space Mission Router


Blue Marble Communications radiation-hardened SMR is an 800Gbps, highly-configurable, MPLS router with 12GB deep packet buffering.

SMR boasts industry-leading radiation performance and power efficiency provided by AMD Xilinx Versal (7nm) SoC technology with integrated Ethernet hard IP.

A typical configuration is an MPLS router with standards-compliant label edge/switch routing (RFC3031), differentiated services (RFC3270), ECN (RFC5129), AQM (RFC7567), IP routing (RFC1812), virtualization (RFC3032), IP routing support (RFC1812), IP DSCP-based marking/policing/shaping, and other customer-specified features. SMR has successfully completed SDA PWSA NEBULA Network Verification Testing (NVT).

SMR integrates seamlessly with BMC’s BMOT 100G optical communication terminals, SDX software-defined modem/transceivers, and SEP edge computers.
