Regenerative Processors
SRP
Space Regenerative Processor
Blue Marble Communications radiation-hardened SRP integrates our Software-Defined RF Modem/Transceivers (SDX) with high-capacity Network Crosslink Switches (NCS) into a versatile on-board processing system for both digitally-transparent and regenerative waveform processing applications.
SDX modulation and coding are software-definable and currently available in industry-standard DVB-S2, DVB-S2X, and 5G NR, and custom waveforms. SDX transmit and receive frequencies for each channel are available in any combination of Baseband I/Q, Real IF, S-band, C-band, X-band, Ku-band, and Ka-band. Baseband I/Q modem interfaces are designed to interface with BMC nTRX TR modules.
NCS data interfaces feature a combination of 10/25GbE and 100GbE.
The SRP integrates seamlessly with BMOT 100G optical communication terminals and nTRX Q/V/E-band TR modules to provide a single integrated payload solution for a spaceborne communication system.

Optical Terminals
BMOT
Optical Communications Terminals
Blue Marble Communications Optical Terminal (BMOT) provides secure, high-capacity data transport for a wide range of space-to-space and space-to-ground applications. Integrated dual-mode coherent/non-coherent waveform technology supports current OOK (SDA OCT v3.0) and coherent optical communication terminal standards (OpenZR+). Our industry-leading, radiation-hardened-by-design, optical coherent transceiver technology allows for high-reliability operation in harsh space environments.
BMOT integrates seamlessly with BMC’s network switching/routing and RF waveform processing products to provide a single integrated payload solution for digitally-transparent and/or regenerative spaceborne communication systems.

Modems & Transceivers
SDX
Software-Defined Modem/Transceiver
Blue Marble Communications 4-channel, radiation-hardened, SDX integrates RF converters and reprogrammable modems into a single module.
Modulation and coding are software-definable and currently available in industry-standard DVB-S2, DVB-S2X, 5G NR, and CCSDS; with alternate or custom waveforms available upon request. Transmit and receive frequencies for each channel are available in any combination of Baseband I/Q, Real IF, S-band, C-band, X-band, Ku-band, and Ka-band. The data interfaces feature a combination of 10GbE and 1GbE. Optional features include integral switching/routing capability (e.g. Ethernet, MPLS).

Transmit/Receive Modules
nTRX
Transmit/Receive Modules
Blue Marble Communications radiation-hardened nTRX modules provide wideband, frequency-agile, RF/µW/mmW conversion in a miniaturized package. When paired with BMC’s Software-Defined Modem/Transceiver (SDX), all frequency programming, monitoring, and power are supplied directly by SDX. If employed with a third-party modem, transmitter, receiver or transceiver, the monitor and control is accomplished through an industry-standard SPI interface.
nTRX modules developed to date include:
- Q-band Transmitter: 37.5-42.5GHz
- V-band Receiver: 47.2-51.4GHz
- E-band Transmitter: 71.0-76.0GHz
- E-band Receiver: 81.0-86.0GHz
- NEN Transmitter 25.5-27.0GHz
- NEN Receiver: 22.55-23.15GHz
- DSN Transmitter: 31.8-32.3GHz
- DSN Receiver: 34.2-34.7GHz

Edge Processors
SEP
Space Edge Processor
Blue Marble Communications radiation-hardened SEP integrates central processing, graphical processing, and field programmable gate array (FPGA) capability into a single, high-performance, secure edge processor for spaceborne applications. The 7nm computing platform technology provides for industry-leading radiation performance and power efficiency.
SEP features an integral Ethernet/MPLS switch implemented on a dedicated programmable SoC with a combination of 10/25GbE and 1GbE data interfaces.
